Eliminating engineered spies from Ubuntu 904..?

In the Ubuntu Forum my genius upset one of their administration members ("bumpooper")... The mindless vampiric jerk was on my back like an angry lamprey... He had been spying on my computer a little, and messing with a few little things, like bigshot Windows people messed with my PC's Windows OS's.. till I started keying, and saving for him, daily, a very insulting post, the moment I brought up SeaMonkey's compose each day, running for three weeks...

Whom ever it is, he or she knows Ubuntu very well...
My guess is he didn't agree with a lot of my anti-religious and anti-government posts in "FemaleFirst forum as cosmicb".. I just sees it like it is, and says it like I sees it... He was probably hitting me as a form of "defending his faith"... He is probably one of the "guests" in that forum, who was posting insane posts... I always put-down all the mindless-monkeys.. I always win in flame-wars... Flame-wars has become a bit of a hobby for me...

I wants to go through the whole Ubuntu OS to clean-out all the existing email addresses...
I'm guessing I need to key-in a code in Terminal and root, to search for @'s, and .com's, and .org's.. like I did with Windows OS's, in the registry, but even then I couldn't eliminate them all from Windows because of locked exploit files in programs...

I hope I can uninstall any keyloggers and file copying security softwares in Ubuntu too...

How does one make Ubuntu really really clean..?

How can I know where my computer's data is being redirected to..? and how can I stop it..?

I would like to shove a grenade down the perp's throat.. but I don't have any grenades, and the perp is elusive...

To figure out where your computer's data is being funneled to, try loading up Wireshark, and monitoring your network interface(s).

To be absolutely sure the OS is clean, wipe the installation out reinstall it, or use a LiveCD. Better yet, switch to another distro, maybe Mint or something?

I doubt there are keyloggers installed, but then, whaddoo I know?!

As you are likely aware, there's no registry in Linux, as there was in Windows. You should be able to locate somewhat easily, all the .coms or @ signs, or whatever, in any text/html/xml or similar files on the machine. As for binaries, well, this is more tricky, but if you're sure you've been compromised, it'd be best to delete and reinstall the OS.

I reinstall Ubuntu OS in my larger hd's every two to three months.. but whatever it is the bully-perp is exploiting it must be part of the OS...

Thanks hun.. I'm about to get "Wireshark".. and I'll try "Mint" on a spare hd...

I suspect there's a keylogger that comes with the Ubuntu OS..?
I read that you can click a security-file to read all that's happened in your PC by guests... That has to be a "keylogger"..?

I haven't been having any luck with building a bootable iso of my hard drive... Kindly lead me to the best instruction for making a bootable image of the Ubuntu hd... I tried "remastersys" about 20 times, with zero success.. I can never find the file remastersys makes..?
It sure would be nice to have a CD that has everything on it the way I likes it, so whenever the OS so much as twitches wrong I can dump the OS, and load a new custom OS from an image CD, without needing to download from the Net...

I'm always ready for anything by maintaining my backups system daily to flash-d's and CDRW's.. so when an OS goes skunky, all I need do is drop in the install CD.. All my files, music, and pix, are already saved in removable media.. but to save money I had to drop back to lite-speed cable ("30 Kb/second"), which sort of feels like my PC is "a half-dead turtle, trying to run while on its back".. Now it takes several hours to download the updates at 30 k/sec.. so I really really needs to learn how to get this iso CD made...

"WhooH!".. Download-mgr says it's gonna take 6.5 hours to download Mint, with this dead-end, "dead turtle" mindless money-sucking antique-style internet-service... This Shaw lite-speed connection is a blatant insult to humanity... It don't matter, just as long as they can make lots of money doing it the way the crooks do...

That is not so bad -- I just got rid of a dial up internet service, by which it took about 2 WEEKS to download ONE CD.

I would not complain about 6.5 hours

There is at least 1 keylogger for linux:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/lkl/
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=852390
This lkl program is not part of a standard Ubuntu install. It is in the Ubuntu repos though.
For someone to install this remotely on your computer and then monitor it would require something else though, like a rootkit or trojan or something. If you are not running the system as root, and have a good strong password, the possibility of getting hacked in linux is rather slim.
You can try running a program like chkrootkit to check for nasty stuff on your computer:
http://www.chkrootkit.org/
Just untar it and read the README file for instructions on how to use it.

IF you are compromised, and IF you keep getting compromised after rebuilding the OS, then it might be time to consider that this guy has compromised something else that you trust and is using that as a vector. Using the same passwords on the new build? Storing them in an online account that he might already have access to? stuff like that...

Me thinks you've accurately diagnosed the whole mess...

and it's obvious why they are hacking me... I hold the bench manual to grow plastics that grow into PC's worn on the fore-arm as a skin-graft, with mouse and keyboard operated by alpha and beta impulse... Grows software on demand...

I've been long seeking funding, since 1978, but I gave-up on it.. You critters aren't ready for me, and you're devolving...
All your great corporations and governments do for these new sciences, is try to steal the data from me.. is why they never ever get any...

I had to switch from Windows.. The big-shots could destroy any of my Windows OS's in a part of a second, right through the router, FW, and AVS... The "Storm" creator guy hit my PC, and the forum, with his baby...
I can confidentially claim that if Storm activates, all the Net-connected Windows OS's in the world will be instantly totally-destroyed... Getting out of Windows, with its faulty base, was like "taking two-steps out of hell"... Mint added yet a another step up and out...

If the Gorillas could destroy my PC's OS's, they probably wouldn't hesitate... Not a problem.. Most of my work is done on PC's that have never been Net connected, and never will be... I'm just trying to acquire a little rightful privacy, that you all seek to maintain...
I doubt there is such a thing as "privacy".. A couple months ago, as I was getting into bed, alone, in the dark, I heard two "witches", somewhere in the darkness, commenting on something about "a cute little booty"... I figure "privacy" is just a figment of the imagination...
I doubt I could make any Ubuntu totally secure.. but it's fun to try...
