Edgy ACPI problems on Acer Aspire 3000
Until this week I was running Ubuntu 6.06 on my laptop, and everything was working just fine where acpi support was concerned. Just a few days ago I did a fresh install of 6.10 (I was a little board), and now acpi is going crazy on me. The system detects if it is on battery or external power, but it is constantly giving me bad readings of the charge percentage. For example, last night I was running on battery for about 45 minutes, and the whole time it said the battery was at 100%, then it suddenly started saying the battery was at zero. Now this morning I was charging, and for a long time it said the battery was at 66%, then it suddenly jumped to 100%. Other than this problem, my upgrade to 6.10 had been great. Has anyone heard about the cause of this problem?
