E:Package Not found:The error i get on :sudo apt-get install kde


Hi there,i have just installed ubuntu server edition and as brainless as it may sound to experienced users,i want to have some form of desktop environment.I am actually running it on my laptop so i thought,what is the worst that could possibly happen,any who,the issue at hand is,

What could be the matter?.

LOL, sorry I have to have a slight giggle here. In this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...n-8.10-697873/ there are 2 suggestions given, yet you posted your method which clearly according to this post doesn't work.

The syntax is probably incorrect.

Moved: This thread is more suitable in the Ubuntu forum and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.

You need to enable the universe repository if you want to install all of KDE. You probably don't need all of KDE anyway, so the commands below will do

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
or
Code:
sudo apt-get install kde-core
