I received a Dynex 5.1 Sound Card Model DX-SC51, a PCI sound card for Christmas. I am running Ubuntu and was wondering after finding nothing in searches if Ubuntu or Linux supports this sound card. It could be I need to widen my search parameters, lol! I haven't opened it yet as I can return it unopened. If it's opened, I am unable to return it. I wasn't able to find anything on this specific sound card, a 5.1 Surround Sound PCI sound card so far as Linux goes. Has anyone had any experience getting this card successfully working with Linux or should I just exchange it for a Creative Labs equivalent?
