Hello guys

Having a few problems with some downloaded movies, using Ubuntu.

All my downloaded divxs, using WIndows,can be plaid on my home cinema (with divx-player). But when i download a movie, using Ubuntu, even it is a divx, it will not play on my home cinema.

I think it's not the fault of my divx-player, but maybe it has something to do with Ubuntu?

Hope someone can help, hate it using windows for downloading some movies.


My home theatre is from Samsung, but that has nothing to do with it, I think.

I think we need more information about how exactly you are trying to play these. Are you playing them directly from a Ubuntu box or downloading them via Ubuntu, then moving them to a different device for playback?

If the latter, will they play on Ubuntu, say with VLC or mplayer?
