I am fooling with nepomuk. So far so good except the bar on the right when I click the dolphin search button its options gray (disable). At first, I thought it might be something wrong with nepomunk, but that is not true as I have it indexed and already used it to search for a tag attached to a file. With the nepomuk code I get a lot of results.

If anyone has an idea to un-gray that I'd really like to hear it because it narrows what I am searching for i.e. just documents or date range or ratings.

This is killer. If work only had this!

yes.

in services monitor nepomukserver is an active process.
i can search and get results when i put in nepomuk criteria.
i might look into filtering by tags, comments etc. using the query service language.
it is a little easier to tick the search form controls though.

the more I think of it, that is one solution and it will have to be good enough.
people don't have time to monkey with this thread.
