Hello everybody, i'm new to ubuntu, i want to ask that do you ubuntu have yahoo messenger? I need Y! to talk with my friend. :-)

or better yet, download a different client, which supports the yahoo messenger protocol.

As faras I know GAIM does the trick. Yahoo is incorporated into GAIM protocols. Give it a try. I am using GAIM for Google talk.

I have Y messenger running just fine in Ubuntu. The installation instructions given worked perfectly.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I seem to recall that Yahoo changed their messenger protocol and GAIM no longer works.
