Question Do I need to recover MBR when reinstalling Edubunutu? [solved]

Hi,
I have dualboot Windows xp and Edubuntu.

I want to reinstall Edubuntu.

Do I need to recover MBR or just install Edubuntu as usual?

Thanks in advance

You should just be able to install Edubuntu, and as part of the install it will detect Windows and set up the GRUB boot loader accordingly.

Why do you want to reinstall though? Is there anything we can help with?

I have solved the problem on my way.

The problem was:
I installed Edubuntu on small "/" partition and I realised it should be bigger.

I tried to make my Edubuntu partitions bigger with parted but with no desired result.

My solution:I realised that is best to reinstall Edubuntu. Now I have fixed MBR with a little program MbrFix.exe and successfully reinstalled Edubuntu

MbrFix.exe is possible to download on
http://www.sysint.no/en/Download.aspx

My new question for you:
Is there any good documentation (or Howto) on parted?

Thanks for your help

man parted

As for your MBR - are you using GRUB as the boot loader or something else?

I use Grub, it is default in Edubuntu. Why?

Is it possible to use some other boot loader?
