I have my server up and running and can view my site form inside my Lan and everything works fine. When I type in my static IP from my ISP I get nothing (timeout error) I do believe I have all my settings right on my zoom modem and on my linksys router.

Now on my server when I try to ping google.com I get a But when I do a ping to an IP address everything works fine. So I am thinking it is a DNS problem.

So I edited my interfaces and add the DNS IPs my isp gave me and when I reboot I can't connect to my router or the outside world. I have looked around and dune searches but I am not sure what to look for. Any Ideas???

I think the file you need to add the nameserver to is /etc/resolv.conf. Usually you can just enter your router's IP and it will forward on requests to the ISP's nameservers.

Make sure you have DNS servers in /etc/resolv.conf.
