I have just installed Kubuntu from web but while installation I didnt install network adapters and settings. After installation I have installed ndiswrapper and everything was succesful. I can see access point when I write iwconfig. And kwifi manager can see it. But I cant login to internet. in KDE control module I can see wlan0 but it says: disabled wireless network device. I have entered as root and enable it but 1 second later it disables again. How can I solve this progblem? pls help

I just hibernate the system and then restarted again. And problem solved. I am on internet now. If there is someone as me, you can try hibernate system. then probably you will connect to internet, interesting!
5 times, I restarted computer and there was no internet conenction, but after I take into hibernation the problem solves and I can connect. Does anyone know the problem? And if there is someone who has a problem like that, you can try hibernate and turn on again.

Yes, I have searched so much for this. And found that, firstly you need to login as root to network settings. But if you get in there, you cant be in administrator mode, so you should write this command in concole : sudo kcontrol
Then go in network settings, now you can change the settings and make it enabled. But you will see, that will be disabled after 1 or 2 seconds. Yes, by a quick behaviour after make it enabled you can click on apply button. That will crash it but no problem. It will say something about xml, anyway, after it still you cant gain an ip address, now you should hibernate your system, and when it has been restarted you will see, you had an ip address and connected to internet. Hope that works, as me!
You should check your DNS settings in your router as something is changing them . When you reboot take a look at /etc/resolv.conf if the nameserver is not correct your router is not setup correctly.

I am having this same problem.
I installed kubuntu on my laptop.
I manually set the settings to connect to my home network, but it automatically disables the interface whenever I enable it.
I don't believe there are any DNS problems with my router. I have 4 other computers connected to it without issue.
How do I convince kubuntu to allow me to enable the interface?
(I have no trouble connecting the laptop to the network using an ethernet cord and the same settings.)
wow that is sooo weird.. this was the reason why i stopped using my old laptop. i put kubuntu on it and for this reason i stopped using it.. haha but the whole hibernate thing works. so sooo weird.
