dhcp renewal

My dhcp renewal time is only 1500 seconds.
How can i make that longer?

Internet dies after a short time - in both hoary and breezy.

If you hand out leases yourself (from a xDSL/Cable router/modem), check the DHCP config on the router, if it's your ISP then make them change this, it's absurdly low. You could check "man dhclient.options" if you think you can add it to dhclient.conf, but like the man page says DHCP lease options like that are usually not client-side configurable.
