Develop Tools

When installing Ubuntu, I didn't see a lot of options. I don't think it installed programming tools by default. Was there some package I was suppossed to enable or something during installation? How do I do it now? Or do I have to go install everything separately? Thanks.

It doesn't install developer tools automatically. Look on the CD using Synaptic package manager. GCC and G++ are both on the CD. You can also use Synaptic for the internet repositories.
