D-Link DWL G520 revb3


supposedly ubuntu is supposed to automatiucally detect cards with the atheros chipset but i read that revb3 is too new or something and doesnt work right. i would like to try ubuntu but i cannot get this card working. has anyone else been able to get it to work.

Hi, if you already have madwifi installed (check that you've loaded the ath_pci module by doing lsmod) try this:

# ifconfig ath0 up

then edit the /etc/network/interfaces file as follows:

iface ath0 inet dhcp

finally restart the network by doing:

# /etc/init.d/networking restart
