crack rar


Is there a way to crack RAR passwords?

Is this for a rar file you created and forgot the password for? Otherwise, asking for crack information is against the LQ rules.

no.

there are brute force methods but RAR encryption is proprietary and unpublished but believed to be pretty strong. If your password was short, you could crack it.

Where can I find these brute force methods? My password was 4 characters, is it short enough to crack it and how?
