configuring Dapper Drake for Devanagri input
Hi,
I have recently installed Dapper Drake Ubuntu on my system. I was trying to configure it to accept input in Devanagri script for Hindi language, especially in OpenOffice.org. However I am unable to do so as the characters I enter in any of the Devanagri fonts are rendered in English script. However, when I change the language settings to Hindi in System -> Administration -> Language Support, the menu items are rendered in Hindi properly. Any suggestions regarding how to configure Ubuntu to accept Hindi input? |
Have you installed and selected the right language in OpenOffice.org?

Error loading new keyboard description. |
there must be an option in Administration-->Language to set hindi as the default language on every boot-up...
