Question Cinelerra complains about missing libstdc++.so.6

I'm getting this error message when trying to run Cinelerra on Ubuntu 5.04.

"error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

When I go into /usr/lib all I find is

libstdc++.so.5

and

libstdc++.so.5.0.7

So I'm presuming that I just need to add libstdc++.so.6 into the system to fix the problem?

I tried to apt-get install it but I'm guessing it's not something that just exists as a deb file. It was worth a try at least.

I'm just wondering where I get the libstdc++.so.6 library from?

bfn...

It's available on the Ubuntu Unofficial Extras CD.

And might be here too
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hoary/base/libstdc++6

Hope that helps.

The link above is still valid.

Better still...

sudo apt-get install libstdc++6
