choppy video playback kubuntu dapper flight 7

Hello,

Video playback is choppy when playing any video format on any program... This appeared after installing kubuntu flight 7 release (before, everything was fine!)

Any idea of what it could be?

check dma access to your hard drive?

curious: was this an install or an upgrade?
if an install, did you use the text or gui installer?

Was apparently a X11 problem. I updated it this morning and everything's back to normal. By the way kubuntu now uses X11 version 7.

cool - the "upgrade" is wobbly, and some things behave oddly for no easily discernable reason. Upgrading will often fix this. But not always.
