choppy audio with snd_ali5451 on 2.6.22-generic-14 update

I just updated from 2.6.22-generic-13 modules to 2.6.22-generic-14, and the sound is now horridly choppy past about 60% volume. This is the snd_ali5451 module, for this device:

00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: ALi Corporation M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller Audio Device (rev 02)

Has anyone noticed this? I'm going to reboot into 2.6.22-generic-13 now... yikes.
