Change the refresh rate with xinerama active?

skip to the bold text to get to the question

ok, so i finally got dual screen working as i like (nearly) after installing the latest alpha studioubuntu based on 7.10 and downloading the stuff needed (and excessive more) from its now functional package management system, a process all very smooth, easy and enjoyable.

but it wont let me change from 60hz in the new system/administration/screens and graphics config gui.... n its giving me a headache, the refresh rate, not the new screens and graphic gui. and of course the old one in prefs simply wont let me into it anymore... so i'm sitting with my /etc/x11/xorg.conf open, and see in the modes sections for both monitors, numerous modes with a "@60", "@65". "@70", "@75", "@80" etc at the end... how do i enable one of these faster refresh rates?

i've heard things about 60hz. things that would scare children.

After editing the /etc/X11xorg.conf file, just save the file as root and type Alt+Ctrl+Bksp

sometimes just asking the question is what you need to find the answer yourself. :)
