Can I use GKdial instead of KPPP

I've been having problems getting KPPP to work properly in Kubuntu 6.06 while GKdial works great in Puppy Linux. Can I use GKdial in Kubuntu? If so, where would I get a .deb version? Thanks.

I haven't used Gnome since RH 7.3 or so, but I have heard that the G* apps work in KDE if you have the right libraries.

There is really no need to go looking for the .deb, APT should handle it all for you. It should be as easy as:
Code:

apt-get install gkdial
I ran:
Code:

apt-get install gkdial -s
on my MEPIS 6.0 system (which uses the K/Ubuntu repositories) to check & it would have installed fine, didn't even need any extra pkgs.

You could also use KPackage, Synaptic, Adept, aptitude, etc.
