Can't Install Ubuntu 6.10 SPARC from CD

To Anyone Willing To Help:

Hello. I have a SunBlade 1500 (Silver), and I can't seem to get Ubuntu 6.10 for SPARC to install on it. I get an "ERROR: Last Trap: Illegal Instruction" "Error -256" when I try to do it. I'm somewhat convinced it has nothing to do with Ubuntu, because I tried installing Gentoo for SPARC as well, and I received the exact same error. Please help!

Unhappy

I'm somewhat a stranger to pretty much anything non-x86, but... it might have something to do with the way the kernel/programs were compiled. That'd be trial and error, I guess.
