Can't find Xpdf??
hi guys,
i have the Xpdf installed in Synaptic, but i can't find it anywhere?? Where is it located?? |
try running it from a terminal, gnome is pretty poor i find when it comes to putting icons on the main menu. Or if u need it on the main menu try getting smeg (gnome menu editor) or adding a launcher to one of your panels.

try this
Try right-click on desktop/link to application/usr/bin and look in there.
That's the way i do it in Kubuntu and i guess it's similar for Ubuntu. Also, to add to the menu (again in Kubuntu) right click the start menu and use the menu editor. Have you also tried going here:- http://www.mrbass.org/linux/ubuntu/ download and run the .zip. This (amongst other things) will install Acrobat Reader. |
I noticed that sometimes, newly installed applications don't show in the appropriate menu section. Instead they appear in 'Lost & found'. That's where I first found my xpdf.
