Hello I can't execute make when installing gaim-2.0.Obeta4, maybe someone could clue me in.

I downloaded gaim-2.0.0beta4.tar.gz from sourceforge

I made a directory in /usr/local/gaim2 where I unzipped the download which was named gaim-2.0.Obeta4

In terminal under root user I typed:

:/usr/local/gaim2/gaim-2.0.0beta4# ./configure

it works as planned...

then I type:

:/usr/local/gaim2/gaim-2.0.0beta4# ls
acinclude.m4 console gtk missing
aclocal.m4 COPYING HACKING mkinstalldirs
AUTHORS COPYRIGHT INSTALL NEWS
ChangeLog depcomp install-sh PLUGIN_HOWTO

compile gaim2 intltool-update.in README

And obviously there are makefiles here to compile but when I type the following:

:/usr/local/gaim2/gaim-2.0.0beta4# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
:/usr/local/gaim2/gaim-2.0.0beta4#

This is what I get....any suggestions? Thx ahead of time.

I read the INSTALL file on gedit, but it says to do as I am doing, but what I am doing doesn't work.

I had problems downloading/installing 2.0 also... I ended up downloading it with Automatix, and thus far beta 3 has no probs at all.
