Browser software audio problem
Have this problem using:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:126.96.36.199) Gecko/2010010604 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.17
My problem is, when I go to you tube some time I dont have no audio, and what i have to do to fix this, I have to restore my PC.
I am not sure why this is happening now, I dont remember having this problem before, I have all the update Installed.
is there any way i can repair this problem, please?
Thank you for your help
I've recently started to have the same kind of problem. The sound cuts out suddenly and randomly while playing flash-based video. I don't know what's going on exactly either, but I have determined it has something to do with pulseaudio. I've found that if I kill and restart the pulse daemon, then (usually) restart the browser, it will start working again.
Try running "pulseaudio -k && pulseaudio -D" to relaunch the server. This is assuming you're running it as a single-user daemon. If it's running as a root daemon, then you'll probably have to use "sudo /etc/init.d/pulseaudio restart" instead. Then restart your browser. That should let it start working again, if this is your problem.
I don't know if it's a pulse bug or if it's in the flash plugin, but I hope it gets fixed soon. It's quite annoying.
Thank you David "Audio problem"

oem@freekbox:~$ pulseaudio -k && pulseaudio -D
E: main.c: daemon startup failed.
what can I do?
It could just be that the PulseAudio isn't working.
The Ubuntu 8.04 (a.k.a Hardy) has been having some trouble with PulseAudio and Flash 9.
You should install the libflashsupport package by going to the console and then running:
Your problem is based on that the PulseAudio doesn't play audio in Flash 9, by default, so that's why you should do the thing above.
Try this an tell what happens ;)
Thank you very much for sharing this command i am really hoping this works.
