Hi
I have ubuntu installed alongside XP and it has installed Grub by default. I have tried uninstalling Grub using the synaptic package manager and installing Lilo but it still boots with Grub. I'm guessing theres something obvious I'm missing?
I've run lilo from the terminal as suggested and this is the error message i get
Warning: '/proc/partitions' does not match '/dev' directory structure.
Name change: '/dev/dm-0' -> '/dev/evms/hda1'
Warning: Partition 3 on /dev/hda is not marked Active.
Warning: Unable to determine video adapter in use in the present system.
Warning: Video adapter does not support VESA BIOS extensions needed for
display of 256 colors. Boot loader will fall back to TEXT only operation.
Added Linux 2.6.10-0 *
Added Memory Test+
I'm a bit confused now as the graphics can handle maximum colour/resolution in windows, and when I had Mandrake installed it happily switched between Lilo and Grub.
