Unhappy Beryl hangs

Hi!
I´m using Ubuntu 7.04 and I´ve installed Beryl on my laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo. There were no problems during installation. At login, however, Beryl won´t start and it seems that other things at upstart also hangs, for instance gnome key ring manager. If I restart the X server, Beryl and all other things run perfectly. It´s a little bit frustrating though to go through this procedure every time. Anyone having a suggestion to what might cause this problem or even have a solution to it?
