ecs geforce 6100sm-m new motherboard
athlon x2 4600 not overclocked
1 stick 1gb kingston 533 memory - 128meg shared in bios

running mepis 6.5
boinc fight aids at home 2 projects 24/7
not running any games
besides boinc use the internet with firefox several windows open at once

when I logon using beryl everthing works but then about once every minute or two
the screen freezes for a few seconds ( mouse does not move, typing is delayed
scroll bars jump to new position etc.)

also seems like it is doing minor (like several hundred miliseconds) freezing without beryl.
but it is difficult to tell.

could this grafics card be too slow for all this. I ask this because if
I reduce the 128 mb memory to 64 then the third firefox window I open goes black

just want to know might this be a softwear problem
or not fast enough hardwear
