Autostarting synclient option with lxde.

I'm running Trisquel, which is an Ubuntu clone, and it's the "mini" version which uses lxde. It's not based on Lubuntu however. With lxde I use synclient to set the touchpad options. I prefer to use the verticle edge of the touchpad for scrolling. The synclient command for this is "synclient vertedgescroll=1". I would like to set that option automatically when I log on to lxde, but I can't seem to do it. When I enter the command in a terminal, it worlds fine, but I don't want to have to do that with every reboot.

Let me tell you the things I have tried, first.
I entered this line in /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart
"@synclient vertedgescroll=1"
that didn't work. I entered the same line in ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/autostart, still no dice.
I entered "export synclient vertedgescroll=1" at the end of my .bashrc file. That didn't work either.
Finally I entered "synclient vertedgescroll=1" (without "export") in my .bashrc file. That also didn't work, but something weird occurs with that last attempt. When I log on, the touchpad doesn't scroll, but when I open a terminal, it starts to work without my having to enter anything into it.

That's what I'm using now because starting LXTerminal is relatively easy. But I don't know why I can't get this to work.

I found out what was wrong. It was a .desktop file that I had added to ~/.config/autotstart/ which disabled vertedgescroll. I had wanted that result when using a different desktop environment and I save my /home directory when installing a new distro. Mea culpa.
