ati 9700..gl..glxgears..lockups


have just changed the gfx from the old geforce2 mx to a radeon 9700pro the driver install seemed to go well but when i run any GL stuff tuxracer or glxgears it lockup the system numlock doesn't even respond i can't see anything obvious wrong could be a problem with the card?

that's why ATi is famous in linux, my friend's PC also halt with xscreensaver, too.

I have heard that tweak some options may fix it. You may ask in hardware forum instead.
