Are the ubuntu repos down?

I'm having trouble installing and updating software today.

Is anyone else having problems?

It's running with a low transfer rate and takes a long time. This would be a server capacity thing. A couple of days ago 4 four totem elements couldn't be found in the repositories. The update ran OK without the missing pieces and a day later they appeared in the repository and were updated.

oh, that must be what my problem was as well. I'm new to linux and installed 6.06 and wasnt able install a few of the auto updates that appeared on the initial boot-up. Do you think that was my problem too? If so, will they be installed once its fixed or do i have to do something myself?

I use the gb.archive.ubuntu mirrors. Well I'm trying to but something keeps changing it back to just archive.ubuntu.

gb.archive.ubuntu.com is archive.ubuntu.com
Code:
user@box:~$ host gb.archive.ubuntu.com && host archive.ubuntu.com
gb.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.182
archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.182
