apt-get update not connecting

The command sudo apt-get update has been giving me errors for the last day or so. It says it can't connect to the repository servers. Here's part of the message:

Quote:

Can anyone give me an idea what's wrong?

I've already tried pinging the aforementioned servers and I have a good connection. I can download from other servers on the internet with no problems.

Nevermind. I figured the problem was my firewall was filtering proxy requests.

Problem solved.
