apt-get timeout

when i go to the terminal and type in:

sudo apt-get update

it tried to connect to the sites but freezes at random intervals (either at 44% 66% or even 0)

network is fine and when i ping the sites that apt-get tries to connect to its fine too.
A direct link to the file is avaivable, when i post that into firefox i get a text file with random numbers.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like that repo is just having issues at this time. You might need to wait until the issue is solved.

What other sources are there, and where can they be found? I've run into this problem periodically myself and am very curious about the answer.

So which is it? France or Kentucky?

Are you so sure? I've got an ancient 8" single-sided single density 128kb floppy drive and floppies in my closet!
