apt-get Problems Going CrAzY
Hey all for the last 3 days I have been having some troubles with some of the ubuntu repositories and it is killing me at work. I have to build a few boxes and the customer wants Ubuntu. I cannot get some of the applications and I might have to go to Debian. Is/Has anyone had any problems with some of the Ubuntu repositories??
I cannot show you all my apt repositories or the output from apt-get update because of the 5 post url rule here. Thanks. |
Without any information it's hard to figure out, what your problem is, but you will find a working (at least for me) 'sources.list' here:
http://easylinux.info/wiki/Ubuntu#Ho...a_repositories ...don't forget the: Code:
sudo apt-get update |
U Rock thanks

I noticed that some times it works but other times I have problems with the default repositories. I hope that this is not my isp or routers at work.
Thanks again |
Maybe you want to try some mirrors. Sometimes a ftp-repository works where http fails. Try around 'til you find a fast and stable one:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Archive Simply switch the URL between "deb" and the "breezy", "main", "restricted", "universe"... -stuff of the entries in your 'sources.list' |
apt-get problems
I am having what sounds like the same type of problems with apt-get in ubuntu, but nothing i have tried has worked. I have tried changing the source.list file and clearing the apt cache. For the most part it says i cant load the sorce sites but that varies when i change my source.list. The thing that stays constant is that it is trying to download some i386 packages and all this started after i upgraded the bios to i686 as I am trying to build a myth box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tyson |
These websites should present all the data that you might need considering your current dilemma. The first website presents allows individuals create a repos list. The other website will help with the configuration of your box.
