Alternate install is dead, wat do?

This is not Ubuntu-related specifically, but Xubuntu.

The alternate install ISO is no longer being created, so the question is: how can one create a proper 12.10 install with FULL disk encryption? BTW the fng ISO was avaliable here:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/daily/current/
until LAST NIGHT.

On another note, might as well ask. How does one properly "./configure && make | make install" GNU Icecat? There has yet to be a distro capable of installing Icecat 17.0.1 (or past versions all the way back to v10.0) without throwing out one excuse, or annother. If there are dependencies, then is there a package somewhere that has them bundled together?

Thanks for any help

Regarding the installation, you can use the mini.iso if you have a network connection during install: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/In...tion/MinimalCD

Is there a method which would allow booting using the mini.iso (say burnt to USB) for partitioning, then point to the full installation disk to complete the install? I'm not all that technically literate, so I have no idea how install wireless drivers, and connect to the web from the terminal. Would it be possible to remaster the .ISO?

Other mentions

Alternate images are not available for 12.10. LVM, cryptsetup and manual partitioning options previously available with alternate only are now available with the desktop image. Those who need the RAID installation option should wait until future releases, as it will be added to the list as soon as possible.
