Aircrack-ng install: openssl issue

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
ok so when i compile aircrack-ng i get errors saying:

In file included from aircrack-ng.c:65:
crypto.h:12:26: error: openssl/hmac.h: No such file or directory
crypto.h:13:25: error: openssl/sha.h: No such file or directory
crypto.h:15:25: error: openssl/rc4.h: No such file or directory
crypto.h:16:25: error: openssl/aes.h: No such file or directory

i checked the aircrack site and it said install OpenSSL. So i installed the latest version; 0.9.8k
rebooted...still get the errors.
Any ideas?

Try installing the development version of the SSL libraries: libssl-dev. That will install the necessary header files.

i feel kinda like an ass doing like 4 posts in a row..haha sorry guys...ok i know my card is compatible i just dont know how to set up the injection cause the terminal gives me this:

root@nanatop:/usr/src# airodump-ng eth1
ioctl(SIOCSIWMODE) failed: Invalid argument

ARP linktype is set to 1 (Ethernet) - expected ARPHRD_IEEE80211,
ARPHRD_IEEE80211_FULL or ARPHRD_IEEE80211_PRISM instead. Make
sure RFMON is enabled: run 'airmon-ng start eth1 <#>'
Sysfs injection support was not found either.

You should probably post questions about using aircrack-ng on their forum:
