Adept launch error, something else using the database

Hi,
I just migrated to kubuntu from suse a week ago, and was really liking it until,

Whener i try and launch adept, or any programme using the package database, it wont let me apply the changes because something else is using it. I have searched through ksysguard and top, and found nothing looking like a package manager app. I have restarted the pc several times, just in case, but i still get the same error??

Thanks

Ryan

That does seem weird that apt would be constantly reporting itself locked.
