Adding Ubuntu to the OS boot choices menu

I installed Ubuntu on my desktop a few weeks ago. This week I installed on a different partition of course Windows xp, and also Windows 2000 sp2. in the process The grub boot loader was done away with and now I can only choose between my two Windows Operating systems. Is there a way to add Ubuntu to that menu, or a way to get grub back and running again? Also, this is the first year I have ever used linux, so please be kind with the terminology. Thanks.

Boot from a live CD and mount the Ubuntu partition. cd to it and type ./usr/sbin/grub-install. Then make sure it points to the right grub config file and start editing it.
