Adding Monitor to Xorg.conf
I have recently upgraded to Unbuntu 5.10 Breezy Badger. I have run into an issue with a 3d game (bzflag) that will not start due to a problem in the XFree86-Vidmodextension andXF86VideomodeSwitchtomode.
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 134 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 10 (XF86VidModeSwitchToMode)
Value in failed request: 0x9f
Serial number of failed request: 122
Current serial number in output stream: 124
When I look at my X-Org i can see the that ubuntu does not recognize my monitor name, It calls it "Generic Display" I beieve the error comes from the Xserver not being able to determine the sync. How can I manually add my Display or get it to be autodetected in ubuntu? I ahve looked over the wiki and did not se anytink. I was hoping that someone here might be able to help. Thanks
