Add window manager to gdm, Ubuntu 5.10

After installing the xfce4.2 window manager using a .bin file I would like add it to gdm.

I haven't had any luck finding the file that I need to edit.

I have an idea that perhaps I'm look for some line in a file such as: "SessionType=gnome,kde,........"

Any reason you didn't install it from the repositories? Every time I've done that, it's been automatically added to the list of available sessions.

Well, yes, I can install xfce4 from the repos but I would like to use the newest version if possible.

The version I'm installed is the xfce4-4.2.3.2 version.
I'd like to use that version if possible.
Furthermore, I'd presume that changing the gdm sessions is simple granted that you're aware of which file to modify.

The one in the repositories is 4.2.2. The latest version is 4.2.3.
