About adding BIMP

Hi all,

Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit

Please advise how to add BIMP, the plugin to GIMP

BIMP. Batch Image Manipulation Plugin
http://registry.gimp.org/node/26259

Is it available on repo? Or I have to download it on their website?

Thanks
satimis

If you want to know if it's available through the Ubuntu repositories, then GO SEARCH FOR IT THERE. If you want to know how to install it, then go to the website that is CLEARLY linked on the page you posted, download it, and read the instructions. There is a step-by-step guide in the source file.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice.

I tried follows before posting;
1)
$ apt-cache policy bimp
N: Unable to locate package bimp

2)
$ apt-cache search bimp
gitpkg - tools for maintaining Debian packages with git

Regards

Ok, great...so if you already knew it wasn't available via repository...then why ask if it was?? And did you read the installation instructions that come with the source code, that tells you how to build/install it????

build the source
as in read the install instructions
it is a makefile project so run "make"

but you will need to have the gimp development code installed
the makefile uses "gimptool"
