A possible bug - please try for results

I am using Kubuntu Hoary - standard install and update. In Korganiser I tried to place a reoccuring rental payment on the 16th of each month. Every time I press apply the reoccuring date decreases by two days (eg 14th, 12th, etc).

In fact the only way I could get the correct day to appear was to set the reoccur date to the 18th and press ok. The date would be changed to the 16th.

I am unsure of how to submit bugs, but before I attempt, I thought if someone else with a similar setup could try. I am using KDE 3.4

Cheers

I was in your exact same situation recently; I tried out Kubuntu for about a week, and was just starting to try out Korganizer/Kontact when I found the very bug you describe. I wanted to use Kontact to remind me of important dates, rent payments, and stuff like that, but the date I entered would always show up 2 days early.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the "Report bug" option under the Kontact "Help" menu. Clicking here took me almost effortlessly through the process of submitting a bug through the proper channels.

I have already filed the bug for this date problem, but nobody else has reported additional comments. You may be the first! But it does look like the bug has been assigned to someone, so with any luck it will be found and fixed in an upcoming minor release.

Also, I know this is not a Kubuntu bug, because I have since gone back to using Gentoo, and the Kontact/Korganizer bug is there also.

Thankyou for your reply wapcaplet,

I was beginning to worry if it was just me! I will gladly add an additional comment to your bug report, but as you say, it looks like it is beeing looked at. I am in the procces of installing Arch linux, so if I can manage to get it up and running, i will test this bug out in KDE again.

Cheers
