7.04 beta encrypted wireless
I've got a box with 7.04 on it. I can connect to a neighbor's unencrypted wireless, but the connection to my own is flaky.
Until a recent update of a few days ago, I could not connect to my own at all. Now, I still have the problem that it will frequently drop my connection (that is, outright forget I was using it), not only when I reboot but sometimes when it's just sitting there. The box was running great under 6.10 with wireless, using a much more difficult setup (comparatively), but one I had honed to work well over the years. So I'm guessing I don't need any tutorials here. I'm just wondering if I've missed a boat (or if anyone knows of any plans for incoming boats) as far as ubuntu getting around to this bug. |
I think that there are a lot of bugs in Feisty's wireless at the moment. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...20/+bug/105637
They should get them ironed out by the final release (hopefully). Might just be a case of sitting it out!! |
