266Mhz laptop, 128MB RAM, 4GB HD

Will Ubuntu run alright on such a low end laptop? I'm doing some experiments for school and heard that Ubuntu and Vector are the ways to go for poorer hardware as long as I run a lightweight desktop manager like Fluxbox or XFCE.

Also are either of those desktop managers installed on Ubuntu?

Moo,

Try the liveCD. I have a lower end laptop and it runs Ubuntu fine. If the LiveCD works, the main distro should work as well.
