The Linux community is not physic, we are just normal people, not some alien race.

Anyway, I personally have had bad experiences with Vmware. I would use Virtualbox in most cases except gaming, and I'm not much of a gamer anyway.

But if you insist, don't do the automatic install when you load in the ISO image, do it manually like a normal PC, that will help you avoid problems.
