Hello,
I am a novice with Linux, PHP, Apache, and mysql.
I am trying to install a blog that I can host on my business connection that I have a static IP with.
I have registered a domain, and have no problems with port forwarding on my router.
I installed wordpress using the apt-get package in the guide contained here:
http://ubuntuserverguide.com/2012/05...12-04-lts.html
The problem is, I cannot access the site on any other computer. On my local network, whenever I type in the private IP of the pc, i get the generic apache page (the page was found but nothing is here yet). I can also get the apache site from an external browser, but cannot get to the wordpress portion at all.
What makes this difficult is using a cli to set up a web based program. When using lynx going to
http://localhost/wordpress, I changed some settings that defined the url and location of the files, but now I can only get to the main splash page, and not my admin page. After changing it from localhost to my domain (
www.wulfsburg.com), I now get the following in lynx when trying to login.
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at
www.wulfsburg.com Port 80
My question is, how do I get this to work and what should I be checking? I know it has to do with some kind of path config or sql, but I don't know jack diddly about those technologies.
Thanks in advance.
