[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
We've hit another milestone. In case you didn't notice, late last night we surpassed 150,000 members! I'd like to thank each and every member for making LQ what it is. We'll continue to do our best to make sure LQ remains as good as it possible can be.

Thumbs up

Congratulations!

What is the secret of your success?

Wait, I know.

Technically, the help provided is fast and of excellent quality. Excellent documentation and resources for Linux. Great one-point stop for all your Linux needs. Download all ISOs you want from here! The response time is getting lower and lower every day thanks to the increasing traffic. A lot of committed members who do a great job in helping others solve their problems with Linux.

As far as the community goes, this is the most democratic forum I've ever come across in the web. The most friendly site admin I've ever seen is at LQ Tolerance levels are pretty high and moderators are excellent and totally fair but firm and polite in their decisions. Totally different from some other forums I could mention where moderators and admins are just out there to satisfy their ego and hunger for power

Thanks to LQ for everything and keep up the great work!

Anyone else realize LQ has more members than the Linux Counter which is currently sitting at 143522? People get counted!

It's certainly a good point and something that was actually picked up in a recent review of LQ.

Jeremy, what about adding an extra field for it to the user profiles that could link to the counter page when displayed?

hi there,

if you guys permit me, i would go even further.
considering "our" numbers, i would suggest a LQ counter. i see that we have already the distro field, but it is not possible to have an idea of the distro preferences here in LQ. I would say, each member should have the possibility to count his current distro. One and only one. I see also that some guys here have networks with all kind of distro/OS. But i think everybody has the favourite one.
i understand the HW requirement and code effort to implement that but i think it is worthy.
new members would be able to check the distro preference around here without having to ask or search for Members Choice Award.

just a thought.

great job jeremy!! congrats

regards
