Well, if they manage to insert DRM into HTML5, that pretty much dooms it. I'm not gonna use it if they do.

Am I the only person who's in favor of at least the idea of this? It would kill Flash and Silverlight and make it more likely that paid streaming video services would be available across platforms (including Linux).

So you mean you would accept DRM so that they would make streaming services available across platforms ? It would kill Flash and Silverlight, but I don't think they have much life left in them anyway.
I think if they want DRM and if you want DRM, do it separately from HTML5, or there should be an opt-out. I don't want anything to do with DRM. |
