Google Chrome get pushed as 'open source' and 'linux'. Yes, I know its using the linux kernel and some other GNU/linux parts. People will be driven away from linux/open source if they get some chromeOS netbook and find that its locked down, installing programs difficult or impossible, and installing a different OS just as hard.
Wayland gets released 'to early'. As I understand it, right now it not usable with ATI/AMD and nVidia closed drivers. Sure, the open source drivers work now if you have a high enough kernel version with ATI/AMD (2.6.38) dont mind no page-flipping with nouveau (probably coming in 2.6.39) and run a patch. Not surprising that it only runs well with intel video, considering that an intel employee is he main developer.
Canonical is getting to be a problem as well. Half-truths (at best) about Chrome from both canonical and google (canonical has called Chrome 'open source' when its nothing of the kind). I cant recall google explicitly calling Chrome 'open source' but they sure give the impression that it is....
