The GNOME developers announced earlier today, August 22nd, the Beta release of the upcoming Totem 3.6.0 movie player app, that will be part of the upcoming GNOME 3.6 desktop environment.

That's another bad decision to add to the list. So what are people gonna ask on here ?

I'm trying to play videos using videos (player) and it's not working ...

It sounds confusing no matter how you try to say it.
