You know, all this news of Steam/Source coming to Linux
sounds nice, but I'm still rather skeptical...I mean, wouldn't it take a ridiculous amount of time (and by extension, money) to port their games over to OpenGL?
It would be awesome if I could play
Portal without having to boot into Windows, but from what I've heard about game companies and their stubbornness about porting their games to the Linux platform (usually it's the old "low market share" excuse
), I just can't see that kind of thing happening for a while.
